HOW TO CONFIG WORK WITH CCAM.

To add a user you have to put a F line in the config :

F: user password 3 1 0 { 0:0:5 }

user gets all our cards at max distance(hops) of 3

He has the right to use our emu keys 1, no rights to emu keys change into 0

He has NO AU rights 0, right for AU change into 1

Furthermore he has the right to reshare all our cards 4 more times { 0:0:5 }
When number is here { 0:0:1 } he can only watch himself and he has no reshare rights.

NEVER GO ABOVE NUMBER 5!! because the distance is to far then. ( like GBOX { 5 5 })

You can set portnumber by changing this rule :

# SERVER LISTEN PORT: 12000
into
SERVER LISTEN PORT: number you want.

To connect to a CCcam server you have to add a C line:

C: ip/dyndns_server port user password yes

The yes on the end says you want to use your rights for emu keys

To connect to a newcamd server you have to add A N line:

N: ip/dyndns port user password deskey hops_away

To connect to a radegast server you need to add a R line:

R: IP/dyndns port CAID(4digits) providerID(6digits) hops_away

To connect to a Camd3 server you have to add a L line:

L: IP/dyndns port CAID(4digits) providerID(6digits) hops_away

These are the basics of the config for CCcam.

Expert setup follows

(03-30-2007 09:39 AM)
OK here we go, the above settings are the basics now we go further.

With a Cccam server you are always in controll
You decide how much your friend is going to see and how far he can reshare it

F: user password 0 0 0 { 0:0:1 }

Says that user gets only our local cards:0 and he only can watch it himself he has no reshare rights.
When changing the zero into 1 user gets our local cards and all vitual cards at a max distance of 1 hop.
If number is 2 then a max distance of 2 hops etc.
Don’t exceed number 5 because the distance is then too far away for stable picture

In case U have 2 local cards and U only want that user get to see 1 u can do this excample:

Card 1 = provider CDS 0100 00006A
Card 2 = provider Premiere 1702 000000

Now you want that user only gets to see your CDS card and not the premiere card do the following

F: user password 3 1 0 { 0:0:5, 0100 00006A:1, 1702:0:0 }

This user gets all cards at maximum distance of 3 hops except 1702 because he has no rights to it :0.
He gets to reshare all our cards(local and virual) 4 times except for provider 0100 0006A because of :1.
Say you want the user to have the right to reshare 0100 0006A 2 times further then change the :1 into 3

So you see U decide what your friend(s) are entitled to see and how many rights they get, wants your card is set to reshare level 3 nobody but yourself can change that.

If you have questions feel free

In the latest versions of CCcam it’s possible to control your hops you are receiving from your peers.
Thats realy a good option now you are in control how many shares online you have.

Heavy testing for me said that 2500 shares online is maximum.

To control receiving hops just add { 0:0:x } at the end of the C line, where x is the number of hops you want to receive.

So: C: dyndnds port user passwd no { 0:0:2 } only gives me shares from that peer with max count of 2.

Important: If you dont use yes/no behind the C lines add them or:

( { 0:0:2 } ) make it like this otherwise it won’t work

HDD in your DM

I tried it with Gemini

In PC

(1) Create another user dream with username and passwd both dream.
(2) Create shared directory c:\dreambox\(MOVIE)
(3) Download and install VLC player. Link .mpg and .ts files to VLC player.

In DB

(4) Download plugin CIFS. (included in Gemini 3.1)
(5) In expert settings-comm-blue button-select the following (See Attachment 'CIFS Howto' for more help).

PC ip
CIFS
Dir-dreambox
local dir -hdd (if that doesn't work try /mnt/hdd)
dream
dream
RW
tick "automount"
leave the rest
Mount.

To record

(6) Video button followed by Radio button.
To stop recording, press TV button.
To see timer menu press Radio button again.

To watch on TV

(7) Dream-File mode-root-hdd-movie - select file OK.

Hope it works for you.

HOW TO NETWORK

Just a few pointers to those having problems:

After your image has been installed you might want to put on new settings etc.

For this you would need to go to the expert setup, choose communication.

There you have various options. T
he screenshot shows a working network configuration.
My computer is connected directly to the Dreambox (no router in between).
I have set my computer to be 192.168.0.1, and the box I always use 192.168.0.5
WhyClick here to enlarge don't know, just seemed to be a good Idea. So every time I put in a new image these settings have to be re-entered.
Idiot Guide Trick: To make things easier when setting it up, provided your computer is on and the LAN connected:
Go to the communication menu, and instead of entering all the IP stuff just tick the DHCP box and the "Enable Network", save the changes by pressing the green button, exit all the menus.
Then go back to the communication menu, and all you need to do is untick the DHCP box,
and change the last number of the IP. Save it and finished!

How to setup your Dreambox network configuration.

Introduction

This is how to set up your Dreambox so that it has access to the Internet and will allow you
to FTP keys to it from a Windows PC on your home network.
This example uses the Gemini image so you may need to modify it to fit the menus etc.
on your image. It assumes you have already set up your home network.

IP Addresses

For this example I will use these IP addresses:

router : 192.168.0.1
Dreambox : 192.168.0.24
PC: 192.168.0.9

The Dreambox and PC must be within the same IP range e.g. 192.168.0.n

Details

On your remote control press Menu > 6 > Expert Setup > Communication Setup

You will see a screen similar to the first attachment. Enter values for

IP = your Dreambox IP address
Netmask = 255.255.255.0
Type = LAN
Nameserver = you ISP's DNS server IP address
Gateway = your router IP address
Enable = checked

The IP address for the nameserver is the IP address of your ISP's DNS server (nameserver).
To find this, on your PC click

START > run > cmd

Then type ipconfig /all to get a listing of the configuration of all your network interfaces.
Note the two DNS Servers as marked in the second attachment below. Enter your value as the nameserver.

Save and reboot your Dreambox.

Does it WorkClick here to enlarge

Open a new command prompt window on your PC:

START > run > cmd

and enter

ping 192.168.0.24

You will get a reply if all is well, similar to that shown in the third attachment.

If you get a no-reply message you may need to add the Dreambox IP address to you Firewall
or router as a Trusted Zone (check your documentation).

7025

Some of these options are slightly different for a 7025.

To get to the communication setup page select

Main Menu > Setup > System > Network

From there, you have two choices - Device and Nameserver Setup.
There is no need to change the nameserver as the defaults work fine.

When you press "Device Setup" select the ethernet port you want to setup.
Most people will only have eth0, but it still needs to be selected.

You then have an option which says "Use DHCP" with "yes" or "no" right arrow key options.
Only if you select "no" will you then be offered a menu to setup your IP address, netmask and gateway.
If you choose DHCP then this is set up for you (if you have a router acting as a DHCP server).

remember to substitute your IP addresses

This "how-to" is based on Klona's guide as listed in the index.

How to Find your Dreambox Pin using Tuxbox Commander

For whatever reason, there may be a pin code set on your dreambox.
Sometimes this is done to keep nosey people changing settings and
messing things up. It’s also used to block certain channels if you don’t
want the kids accessing them (if you know that I mean).

If you forget that pin, usually you would flash an image that you know
doesn’t have the pin code set.

Or…you can use the tuxbox commander plugin to get the pin.
Most images have this plugin and it’s accessable via the plugins
menu, usually yellow or blue button.

Go to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma…

There’s a file called config

View it and look for lines like…

i:/elitedvb/pins/parentallock=
i:/elitedvb/pins/setuplock=

These are hex numbers. Use your windows calculator in Scientific mode,
click on Hex, enter the value in your file (last 4 numbers, not with the
zeros in front of them), click Dec and that will be your pin.

CHANGE PASSWORD

It can be done in 2 ways:

1. Using the "puttytel" proggy,

2. Doing it manually with a telnet session:

-Choose "Start" and "Run" in Windows, then enter "telnet your.dyndns.adress"
-Logon with your username and password (username is always "root", password is "dreambox" from standard)
-Enter "passwd" in the session
-Enter your new password twice

Password has to be min. 5 and max. 8 letters long, and can consist of UPPERCASE/lowercase letters and numbers!

You can reset your dreambox password using dreambox remote:

1.install tuxbox commander using addons button
2. Start tuxboxcomander
3.go to in /var/etc/ and open the file passwd
4.press 4 on remote to go into edit mode.
The first line is root:*****:0:0:root:/home/root:/bin/sh
where the ****** delete it (by using remote arrows to move cursor right and then pressing volume minus)
delete *** until upto :0:0:root

and press ok and exit -> save

the first line should look like this after the edit
root::0:0:root:/home/root:/bin/sh

then login with user root and password leave empty

you could telnet and change the empty password with your own so known can easily hack into your dm box.

WATCHING AVI DIVX XVID FILES ON THE DREAMBOX

Currently the Dreambox doesn't support AVI (DivX, XviD etc.) encoded files to be played directly,
but there is a way to watch them on the Dreambox by streaming them from our PC, this is really
easy to do, should not take you more then 30 minutes, I use Gemini Project on my Dreambox but
I'm sure many other images work in similar way.
However like everything in life there are advantages and disadvantages to the streaming approach.
1) Watch DivX (MOVIES) on your Dreambox straight from a PC folder, handy if you're
continually downloading media using a client like Bit-Torrent.
2) Relying on two third-party programs to behave well, this can be tricky as the technology is
still in development and many bugs are still to be discovered.
3) Open source So-ft-Wa-re will, eventually be very stable, so be patient, and if you can, report
bugs to the developers, in return they will fix them for free ;)
4) Quality will not be the same as DVD, but with some tuning you can improve this.
5) Not the Ideal solution if your WI-FI connection breaks, I would recommend using homeplugs
instead or wires.
Lets install our 1st program on the PC, a well known and very powerful open source media player,
this will act as our streaming server, and requires very little configuration.
Download and Install your platform's VLC media player from http://www.videolan.org/vlc
On windows, run the player with this command and leave running on the background, change
192.168.blacklisted_site.blacklisted_site to your Dreambox ip address:
C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe --intf wx --wx-embed --http-host 192.168.blacklisted_site.blacklisted_site:8080
That's all for the configuration on the PC for now, some people have reported that more tuning can
be done by adding more parameters, I think it really depends on the type of system you will be
using, but for now the default settings will do the job.
Now on the Dreambox, on the blue panel download a plug-in called VLCF (Video Lan Client
Frontend) this will connect to our PC and act as the streaming client, check for updates regularly as
VLCF is still heavily developed and you can benefit from some cool improvements.
Now lets configure VLCF so that it can connect to our PC's VLC streaming server.
Use a program like UltraEdit on your PC to ftp to our Dreambox, then change the file
/var/tuxbox/config/vlcf_original.xml
See the content of the file and change server set1 of the configuration, change the ip address
192.168.blacklisted_site.blacklisted_site to your PC ip address:
<server name="set1" ip="192.168.blacklisted_site.blacklisted_site" webif-port="8080" stream-port="9090"
user="admin" pass="admin" />
Now on config set1 change the value of startdir to the PC's (MOVIES)/media directory, in my case c:\
(MOVIES) and cddrive value to the letter of your PC's DVD/CD drive, in my case d:
<config name="set1" startdir="c:\(MOVIES)" cddrive="d:" />

Don't change aything else and rename /var/tuxbox/config/vlcf_original.xml to
/var/tuxbox/config/vlcf.xml
Reboot your Dreambox, press the remote control yellow button and select VLCF plug-in from the
list, you should be able to see a list of (MOVIES) from your PC, select one to watch, you may also
pause and fast-forward from the buttons on your Dreambox.

PRESS THANKS PLEASE

How To Setup 2 Dreambox For Cardsharing In Lan Or Wan

This guide its to help newbies to setup 2 boxes for Card Sharing in
Lan or Wan.

You need :

2 dreamboxes ( of course)network conected
1 Network cable

a) If you connect the 2 boxes direct you need a cross network cable
if you connect the to boxes in a hub with other network devices then you need straigth network cable
(both of them easy to find in computer stores)
************************************************** ********
Network setup:
Go in dreambox setup-expert setup-network settings and put ip address (something like this)
dreambox1 : ip 192.168.0.1
subnet 255.255.255.0
gateway (ip address of the router)
DNS (ip address of the router)
If you dont have Internet connection leave Gateway and DNS blanc

dreambox2 : ip 192.168.0.2
subnet 255.255.255.0
gateway (ip address of the router)
DNS (ip address of the router)
If you dont have Internet connection leave Gateway and DNS blanc

Check the enable Networking chekbox

If you have a PC thats connect to internet (dialup or adsl) then you can put the pc's ip
as Gateway and DNS server in both boxes to give them internet access

IMPORTAND
If you have a router for the internet the ip of the 2 boxes MUST be in same
network as your router.
Examples:
If the router's Ip address is 10.0.0.1 then your boxes ips MUST be 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.3
If your router's IP address is 192.168.1.1 then your boxes MUST be 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3

Now your boxes are connected... and with internet access (if its present)
************************************************** ********
EMU and CardSharing How to:

Install in your boxes one of new images.
I prefer PLi Diamod as gives you the choise to have separate server and client EMU.
In this example we will use as cardserver EMU the NewCS and as client EMU Newcamd
So download and install in the boxes the 2 EMUS (NewCS and Newcamd). If only 1 dreambox
it will act as a server then in the second one you dont need to install NewCS, only NEwcamd

Now we have to to configure the files for the sharing
************************************************** ********
Server configuration of the file Newcs.xml (/var/tuxbox/config)
(in the supplied zip there is a Newcs.xml file for this example)

Open the file with a plain text editor (i use UltraEdit)

Find the section <debug>
and then <udp_host>192.168.0.1</udp_host>
Here you put your server box ip

Then find <udp_port>10000</udp_port>
Here you put servers port

Find the section <newcamdserver>
and then the <name>testserver</name>
Here you put the name of your server (testserver)
Then find <deskey>01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14</deskey>
Here you put a login key for your users in this format
Then find
<user>
<name>username1</name>
<password>userpas1</password>
<au>on</au>
<spider>No</spider>
</user>
and put user name and password for your users
************************************************** ******************************

Server and client configuration of file Newcamd.conf (/var/tuxbox/config/newcamd)

(in the supplied zip there is a Newcamd.conf file for this example)
Open the file with a plain text editor

Find the line:

CWS = 192.168.0.1 10000 username1 userpas1 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan testserver

Line parts in plain English
1)192.168.0.1 --- ip address of the server (dreambox acting as server)
(the same as the one defined on newcs.xlm)
2)10000 --- port of the server (the same as the one defined on newcs.xlm)
3)username1 userpas1 --- username and pass of the client (the same as the one defined on newcs.xlm)
4)01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 --- access code (the same as the one defined on newcs.xlm)
5)lan -- leave this as lan
6)cardserv - name of the cardsharing server (the same as the one defined on newcs.xlm)
************************************************** ******************************

IMPORTAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Entrys in newcs.xml must be the same in the newcamd.conf
(ip addresses-servername-username-password-deskey)
All this is case sensitive (username it is not the same with UserName)

After saving transer the 2 files in your Dreambox and restart your boxes...
In lan setups this is ready to work
In wan setups you need a router or a dreambox plugin with DynamicDNS capabilities

You are ready to CARDSHARE
