The scoring began in the 12th minute when Alharbi El Jadeyaoui found the back of the net, giving Lens an early lead. This goal set the tone for the match and provided the team with some much-needed confidence. Continuing their attacking prowess, Lens extended their advantage shortly before the half-hour mark with a goal from Benjamin Bourigeaud. Going into halftime with a 2-goal cushion was a significant advantage for Antoine Kombouare's side.

The victory not only secured Lens' third league win of the season but also propelled them out of the bottom three positions in the league table. The team's improved performance allowed them to climb up to 14th place, giving them some breathing space ahead of the other matches scheduled for the weekend.
