Solution: If 90% Windows Desktop Application are Crashing !!!

Post by tiger »

If your Windows PC applications like Authy, VPN and other applications are crashing, if you are able to install application based on .MSI installer, but not based on .exe setup, and even after installation, your application crash and shutting down, there is solution, but you can not find it anywhere.

Uninstall Microsoft .Net Framework and download latest version from Microsoft official site, you can even download it from softpedia and similar sites, but Microsoft .Net Framework should be un touch.

This issue is usually due to "Microsoft .Net Framework Slim".

Slim versions are un-official, and they small sized version, they delete un-necessary files and create unofficial version, but sometime they cause issues. If you are in confusion which version i should download, simply search in google,it will take you to Microsoft site, download latest version, currently there is 4.8 version,if you have installed Windows 32 bit, then download 32 bit version of .net framework,if your Operating System is 64 bit, then download 64 bit version of .net framework.

Windows desktop applications are created in Visual Studio, which is based on .Net Framework by Microsoft, so you need to install Microsoft .net framework to run those application in your pc. ... -framework ... work.shtml
