expected life of solar panels is 25 years but its life decreases due to age factor and micro cracks in solar panels and their efficiency also goes downs another factor is quality i mean higher quality solar cells bear more heat and doesn't lose their efficiency due to rough handling or fatigue where as lower or cheap priced panels behaves different.
normally solar panels generate their best output till 20 years till then their efficiency drops at 80% and so on till 25 years but its doesn't happen between 20 to 25 years its a slope curve which starts from day 1 when you install your panel at your roof top.
i have install solar panels since 2008 and i can see micro cracks in some cells but it is ignorable..
