Clarkson sends Dons out of Cup

Post by sake »

A review of Saturday's action so far in the Scottish Cup as Dundee beat Aberdeen 2-1 in the early game.

David Clarkson grabbed a last-minute winner for Dundee, who booked their spot in the last 16 of the Scottish Cup with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Aberdeen at Dens Park.

The striker ran on to a header by Jame McPake to clip the ball past keeper Scott Brown from 15 yards and send luckless Dons out of the Cup on Saturday.

Thomas Konrad had earlier netted at both ends of the park during the opening 20 minutes but the hero of the day for the Dark Blues was keeper Scott McBain, who pulled off a series of excellent saves to deny the visitors.
