Brendan Rodgers 5/2 to go next

Post by sake »

Brendan Rodgers has been cut to 5/2 by Sky Bet in the Premier League 'sack race' after Liverpool lost 3-0 to Manchester United.

The reigning LMA manager of the year saw his side beaten by goals from Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Robin van Persie, a result which left his side 18 points behind leaders Chelsea and seven points outside the top four as the halfway point of the season approaches.

The win was good news for punters who took advantage of the firm's offer on Super Sunday - Money Back if Manchester United beat Liverpool!

With Liverpool having also been dumped out of the Champions League in midweek, Rodgers is as short as 5/2 in the next manager to leave market following the loss.

Only Leicester's Nigel Pearson, whose side have not won in 11 games and sit bottom of the table, is above Rodgers in the betting. He's 11/8 with Sky Bet.

Meanwhile, United were moved into 10/1 for the title after moving within eight points of the lead thanks to what was their sixth win in a row.

Chelsea remain 4/9 favourites with following their 2-0 win over Hull on Saturday. Manchester City, 1-0 winners at Leicester, are 12/5.
