what is the future of satellite receivers ??

Dear friends now a days IPTV is going to famous and capture more cities around the world, so is it good idea to buy costly receivers ???
because IPTV box now replacing satellite dvb boxes.

whats your opinion??.

dodi Bro, We can say the future is IPTV, but there are some limitation and back-draw, high cost and limitation of users choice where you have open choice of channels in Satellites. but in future cost can be economical but offcourse choice never change. and IPTV is usefull where we are unable to receive our desire special in high buildings, as you know in UAE they are forcing to give you IPTV even you dont like the single channel in list.

yes bro iptv is very goood replacement of satellite receivers. because satellite beams & coverage are the limitations in world of satellites. but on other side iptv needs more internet bandwidth & high quality data rate like fiber end nodes on client side. ptcl & other isps in pakistan have no such quality data rate yet. and the companies that providing this are very costly like nayatel in islamabad charging 1.5MB bill per month 26000rs. so we have to wait for iptv here that will be in our range by next 5 to 10 years...

Thanks friends, here in UAE the technology is changes very fast now we are paying 10MB internet Dhs 300 and time by time our isp upgrading it.
@moonji54 bhai you are right etisalat give me ipbox and only few channels are ok other are bakwasss, now the problem is my building honor is not allowing me to fix my dish on the roof. :pain:

yes bro but what about other iptv providers... ptcl 1mb giving us 10% of total bandwidth speed. so what abt other 90% bandwidth
