Plug able mean easily remove able and attach able tuner with slot . u can use dual tuner if u wana use 2 tuner then u have to remove it . but as far as I know SOLOSE doesnt work very well with Daul tuner . it faces signal losses at 2nd tuner and above all over heat issue .
Personally I use this box just for experiments otherwise my prime machines are VU+Ultimo and VU+solo2 . This is the daul tuner . but it cant be used for SOLOSE .

Does change of tuner affect the picture quality and i am only asking so i could scan ST 88e which is kind of getting irritating for me. This is original Vu + Solo se and it has bad tuner. It is more expensive to send it back to Dubai or i do not know what will happen so i am thinking about tuner change as it has pluggable tuner so i am thinking about adding another tuner or changing the tuner.
Please guide me in detail. It scans complete hotbird with 1467 channels it scanned without missing any available channel. Also it is missing some Tps of Asia sat like Such tv, PTV World and PTV global rest it scanned. It completely scanned NSS 95 & 93.5.

Brother Umar . There are few reasons when u r unable to scan satellite or face any kind problem .
1. May be u have not updated Sat.xml file
2. May be u have bad or week lnb or DiseqC (chinese receiver doesnt show but this is senstive matter for Dm and VU)
3. May be u have wrong sat config
4. may be u have hardware fault .

Solutions .

1. Update with latest Sat.xml file
2. Change LNB and then again check with Diseq C
3. Confirm u have corrent sat setting
4. use any one's back up sat file with scanned 88 Degree and then check
5. Contact any professional hardware experts

Replace the tuner is not that easy for SOLO SE . according to my information the available tuner is only working with VU+Ultimo , Uno , Dou2 and SOLO Se V2 .
Solose compatible tuner is not available (But dont rely to my info kindly check it ur self also).
As u have mentioned its also missing some TPs in Asiasat . thats what I had asked u in previouse post and told u that it may sure will show poor performance as well on other sat to.
I am sorry that u have faced the problem but I have not faced in my any VU+ box .

Also if anyone have back up files of scanned 88e it will be helpful.
