No chance of virus in any kind linux base receivers
But there is lots of risk of bad sectors and bugs in flash .
number of reasons exits but majors are
1 it can be due to any backup
2. it can be due to wrong image
3. it can be due to any raw hand's modified image .
etc etc etc etc
normally bugs come from the any source when try to rewrite the flash .

My stb spark 2020 hd plus bhi khuch isi tarah ki situation ka shikar hai. Aik msd card lagaya tha jis se flash mai virus aa giya aur ab wo bar bar boot per stuck ho jata hai mai nay barha rescue image kiya to chal jata hai magar 2 ya 3 bar restart honay ka baad dobara stuck on boot ho jata hai
Is ka agar koi hal hai to please suggest me Experts
