1. Twin Tuner
it means the satellite receiver has 2 an equal tuner at one main board.which work same stage but u can use them independently. mostly this kind receivers are much popular in Europe for using multiple satellite and some time using for Time shift . while u r watching one channel and record 2nd channel from another satellite . My Every Receiver is twin tuner Receiver
1. Time Shift
Time shifting is the process of recording and storing data for later viewing, listening, or reading. In television, time shifting can be done with a twin tuner sat receiver and also with any (PVR) or a computer with a TV tuner card. it also allow the users to use it with timer then it will start the process at specific time u have mention in EPG (Electronic Program Guide) or in Timer table

1. No often u cant use 2 tuner for separate viewing but in multi stream its yes(enigma2 hi end receivers)
2. yes 2 separate lnb and multi stream single lnb also can work at both tuners ( like Vu+ ultimo , Dm 7020HD v2 , Vu+ Dou2)

twin tunner ka matlab yah hota ha ka receiver ka back par 2 slots hota ha both work karta ha one slot par one cable and other slot par dosri cable lag sakti ha 16 16 disec switch agar app ka pass ho tu 32 sat ek sat receive hota ha ok

Twin tunner also used for patch up ..mean u can wstch scramble channels on it ..like u install 7e /21e or 39e to get the signal as a server (mostly in pakistan 7e )..we get server from here and watch 13e and dish tv sd,,diffinitlyt we need 2lnb one for server and other one for channels viewing like 13e/95e..
And also u watch two diffrent satellite at same time on one box with two tv set and 2_remote control..in same home ....

@AliRaza aother question raised in mind about twin tune that ...let suppose i have twin tuner linux high end receiver like Vu+ ultimo , Dm 7020HD v2 , or Vu+ Dou2 so can we stream on channel to laptop while watching other channel on tv at the same time ..
like on tuner 1 i have watching news and on the tuner 2 i am streaming music channel to laptop at the same time
is it possible ....

Yes its possible but u need Media streaming plugins for this function
