DTH auction in Pakistan held in 2016.

PEMRA failed to launch DTH in Pakistan even nearly after a decade.

After years of Corona Virus excuses, on CITIZEN Portal, PEMRA reply is:

"Chinese company withdrawn DTH application, not interested to get licence any more. Shahzad Sky given one year time to launch DTH, deadlline will given expiry 21 january, 2026."

i will add more details here.

For Not Launching DTH...

I am complaining them to launch DTH from 2016.

Almost 100 complaints, each complaint every few months.

They always said DTH will be launched in few months, mostly excuse was Corona Virus,
1st time they are saying Chinese company withdrew application,

They are always giving deadlines, last time SIFC gave deadline. 1.5 month already passed. I heard every year warning.

Most interestingly, Shahzad Sky have no links SKY NETWORK.

There might be Noon League or Establishment on back of Shahzad Sky, why they are allowing extension, again and again.
DTH can even be launch on any foreign satellite.

I want pak dth only for Urdu language National Geographic and BBC Earth like channels.

Let’s hope this year something actually happens — although we’ve said that every year since 2016! 😅
