From there, the satellite, rebranded as Afghansat 1, will cover the whole of Afghan’s national territory and a large slice of the Middle East and Central Asia.

Details:
32 Ku-band transponders covering Europe, Esat and the Middle East as well as providing service continuity for TV programmes over the Indian Ocean with a directional beam. Due to the anomaly that happened shortly after the launch is operating at around 50% of its original capacity. Planned for relocation at 48East orbital slot as Afghansat 1.
