any person using HDMI on Satellite Receiver?

Post by Sayem »

Aslam.o.Alikm bhaio,

I have to buy a new led monitor, and planed to connect satellite Receiver with LED monitor via HDMI, as mostly satellite Receivers have HDMI,
my question is that any person using already this method??? this works well??? i.e Receiver HDMI output to LED Monitor HDMI input??

and one thing more, LED monitors with dvi-d port instead of HDMI are cheaper than monitors with HDMI port. so my 2nd question is that any person watching FTA chanales through this method, i.e receiver HDMI output to monitor DVI-D input???

I am be very thankful to you...

Salam
Yes i m using hdmi cable with led monitor.mine is dell.there r 2 hdmi ports in it.and r working well.u can connect the hdmi 2 dvi-d port through a converter cable which is available in market .it is very fruitfull way to monitor pc as well as watch digital satellite receiver and dvd player also.

The 24 inch led monitor with hdmi ports brand dell costs u around Rs 8000.
The adapter costs u about Rs 250

My opinion is to buy a monitor with hdmi port because its result on hd channels is mind blowing..otherwise u can compromise on result and buy a monitor with dvi-d port.its result is also nice but hdmi is best.choice is urs

Thanks

HDMI and DVI both provides same resolution except 8 channel audio link which is present in HDMI only also some encryption which is with BluRay players only.
conclusion
if you wanna buy lcd for receiver than go for HDMI or DVI one both will server you
