If all LEDs on your G840 programmer are on, it usually means the programmer is not communicating properly with the flash. Make sure the SST25VQ80B is correctly seated, the connections are clean, and the dump file matches the chip. Sometimes trying a different USB port or cable helps. If the issue persists, testing on another computer or with another programmer can identify if the problem is the device or the chip.

First, check that the connections between your programmer and the SST25VQ80B chip are correct. Are the wires loose? Is the pinout correct? Make sure the programmer is receiving the correct voltage. Low voltage can also cause this problem. Is the software you're using compatible with the G840 programmer? Try using the latest version.

I’ve seen similar issues before, and it often comes down to unstable voltage or poor connections.

Brother, judging from your situation, all the LEDs on your G840 programmer are lit, which usually indicates a mismatch between the programmer and the chip. Don't panic, check the following steps; it should likely solve the problem:

Check the chip: Remove the SST25VQ80B from its locking socket and reinsert it, checking for any bent pins and ensuring good contact.

Check the connection: Try a different USB cable, or try a different USB port on your computer.

Check the power supply: There's a catch with the G840 programmer; the USB cable only transmits data, and an external power supply is required to power the chip. Many people get stuck here on their first try.

Check the software: Confirm that the chip model selected in the software is SST25VF080B or SST25VQ80B. Also, SST's chip erasing algorithm is unique; you must select the model with an "A" or "B" suffix.

Check the voltage: If the above doesn't work, use a multimeter to measure the voltage supplied to the chip by the programmer. Insufficient voltage can also cause problems.

If the problem persists, the chip itself is most likely faulty.
