Russian satellite operator RSCC (Russian Satellite Communications Company) began commercial operation of a new telecommunications satellite Express AT1, which is located at the target position 56 ° E.

Express AT1 took over operation for the original satellites Bonum 1 and DirecTV-1R, which are already at the end of its expected life.

The satellite Express AT1 moved the Russian satellite broadcasting services paid networks Tricolor TV Sibir and NTV Plus Vostok.

Express AT1 was delivered to orbit on March 16, 2014, along with satellite Express AT1. The satellites are part of the Federal Space Program of Russia for the period up to 2015.
