Tim Sherwood has been installed as Sky Bet’s early favourite to be the next Brighton manager following Sami Hyypia's resignation.
Hyypia parted company with the Championship side following a six-match winless run, leaving them second from bottom with just three wins to their name this season.
That poor form has seen their relegation odds progressively tumble, with the Football League sponsor now making them 2/1 second favourites for the drop from 20/1 at the start of the season.
Sherwood, who was interviewed for the post by chairman Tony Bloom before Hyypia took over in the summer, is the early favourite at 3/1, followed by Sven-Goran Eriksson (6/1), Tony Pulis (8/1) and Nathan Jones (10/1).
Sky Bet Football Trader Chris Spicer said: "It’s a wide-open market right now with little to suggest an obvious successor to Hyypia and the market is sure to change as we start to see money on it."
