I do not think there should be a difference. The only difference I can think of is the satellite's position you're trying to catch.

For e.g. Nilesat 7w in Karachi - Using an off-set dish is relatively easy due to the position of the LNB as the dish will need to be somewhat facing the ground.

Positioning the prime focus will be pretty difficult.

Thats just my 10 cents. No offence to anyone.

Do share with us if you have already bought the offset dish and achieved something nice for Karach or Sindh.
