Akhila Dahanayake: "I think Sri Lanka should realize their batting depth. They have young guns who can fire. They should be concentrating on accumulating the crease from one end and attacking from the other. Pinch hitters may come handy if they are willing to trust the young, lower order talent."
2.30 pm Sri Lanka have won the toss this time and they will bowl first. There are two changes in Sri Lanka's squad - Kulasekara comes in to replace Suranga Lakmal and Dimuth Karunaratne replaces Thirimanne, who is out due to injury. Apparently Thirimanne injured himself during the warm-ups and was not an intended change. Pakistan are going in with the same XI that won the first match.
It's another decent batting pitch and Russell Arnold says the teams have to look to score at least 250. But dew will also be a factor later.
Kiri: "SL's top order look to be in good form. They're doing well without Mahela and Herath so I hope they produce this kind of form for the rest of the series."
Naveed: "Sri Lanka winning the toss and choosing to bowl made Misbah's job easier cause whatever decision he would have made would eventually have been criticized for one reason or another !" ------ I agree Naveed. One day I would love to read Misbah's autobiography.. 'Being Misbah'... to know how the criticism affected him..
Rifard: "Million Dollar question is- will pakistan lose their trend of losing big after winning big, and Sri Lanka vise versa..???" ---- Rifard, last match was a tight affair and I wouldn't call it a big win. That should save you from worrying about the 'big win followed by big loss' pattern.
2.15 pm This is the season of 24-hour cricket. We had West Indies and New Zealand slugging it out in Hamilton followed by India v South Africa at the Wanderers, all four teams testing each other out in whites.. But in Dubai, it's time for some action in coloured clothing. Hello and welcome to ESPNcricinfo's coverage of the second ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Dubai. We are still fifteen minutes away from the toss, so just enough time to catch up on Andrew Fernando's
